The colors of the sky over Sanibel vary each and every day. Somehow on Andria and Robert’s wedding day they were the perfect blues to compliment the color scheme they had chosen. The Waterfront Room at Casa Ybel was the ideal venue to witness the skies turn from blues to oranges and pinks as the sun set over the gulf. Along with the beautiful views guests were treated to an expansive buffet for dinner. Radiant Sunset Ceremony { Sara + Scott } Casa Ybel Resort – Sanibel Island

A blanket of shells cover the beach in front of Casa Ybel and the colors of sunset reflected in the gulf water and in the clouds. This is exactly what Sara and Scott imagined when they were planning their dream Florida wedding. A simple bouquet of greenery on the arch made for a perfect backdrop on the beach as the Bride and Groom said their I Do’s. Dinner on the patio at Thistle Lodge was intimate and romantic. Guests were treated to Grilled Mahi Mahi with fresh pineapple salsa and perfectly grilled Filet Mignon. Of course to top the evening off there was a stunning three-tiered cake for guests with a sweet tooth to enjoy.

Birds of a Feather – Sanibel Island Wedding { Laura + Dan }

Connell_Walls_Wed-341 Laura and her family have been visiting the shores of Sanibel Island and staying at Casa Ybel Resort for years. It seemed only natural that Laura & Dan fly all the way from Australia (where they live), guests-in-tow, to this magical little island when they decided to tie the knot. They skipped the beach for the ceremony and had a lawn wedding overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. We love their sense of humor – from the Australian-American translation guide to their pink flamingos that seemed to show up whenever you least expected. This is a family that knows how to laugh. We were honored that they chose Casa Ybel Resort for their destination wedding and we look forward to seeing them year after year.

Helena and Drew wanted to bring their wedding guests to a tropical setting for a spring time getaway. Sanibel Island’s Casa Ybel Resort was the perfect location for their destination wedding. With sand between their toes and sunshine on their faces, these two exchanged marriage vows on the beach at Casa Ybel as their guests looked on with cold beverages in hand. Desiring to experience the full beauty of an outdoor beach wedding, Helena and Drew continued the event under a tent on Casa Ybel’s ocean front back lawn where guests danced the night away and enjoyed the coastal breeze from the Gulf of Mexico.

Courtney and Michael’s wedding ceremony on the beaches of Casa Ybel featured a stunning backdrop, the calm blue green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. After the ceremony the celebration moved upstairs to Thistle Lodge’s Waterfront Room for a buffet dinner featuring a roasted Prime Rib carving station. Guests were treated to views of a sunset over the Gulf and entertainment from Steve Farst to top off a perfect evening.

The banyan trees provided a stunning backdrop for portraits and the covered boardwalk over the pond is an ideal spot for first glimpse shots.
