Weddings in Paradise are Worth Getting Away For on Sanibel Island

After a long cold winter in Wisconsin, what could be better than a beach wedding on the sunny shores of Sanibel Island, Florida? This tropical wedding in paradise could not have been more perfect.  Lauri and Bryan said their vows with toes in the sand at Casa Ybel Resort and enjoyed a night with their nearest and dearest on the resort’s open-air patio.

Brunch Wedding on Sanibel Island – Casa Ybel Resort { Nikki + Ben }

Oh, that morning light!  If you’ve never taken a morning walk along the ocean, I recommend putting it on your vacation to-do list.  Nikki and Ben wanted to share that experience with their guests – the calmly lapping waters, the gentle morning sun and the sense that this day could last forever.  After their beach wedding, festivities continued with brunch on Casa Ybel Resort’s Patio where guests sipped mimosas and noshed on eggs benny.  When it was all over, Nikki and Ben took an afternoon swim on what would end up being a day that has indeed lasted forever.

Romantic Blush Wedding on Sanibel Island { Andrea + Jason }

We adore the rustic touches in Andrea & Jason’s blush beach wedding at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island.  The crossback chairs were the perfect addition to their dinner party style table loaded with fresh greenery and blush colored napkins.  To add a little island fun to the festivities, Andrea & Jason hired a trolley to take their guests on a tour of Sanibel!

Rachel & Eric planned their Sanibel Island destination wedding from their home in Minnesota.  They got married on the beach as a storm passed by, just missing the island, don’tcha know.  Their wedding décor was soft and delicate and oh-so-romantic.  Their family and friends joined them on the Patio at Casa Ybel Resort for a night of incredible food, live entertainment and more fun than you can shake a stick at!

Funky and Fabulous Waterfront Reception { Linda + Dave } Sanibel Island – Casa Ybel Resort

Linda and Dave like to have a little fun in life, you can see that from their wedding photos. Their funky style definitely came through in the personalized touches at their ceremony and reception. Guests were never bored, the abundance of self serve candy machines, a photo booth with endless props and a scavenger hunt kept guests entertained. The reception, in Casa Ybel’s Waterfront Room, featured a elegant plated dinner and a host of sweet treats for dessert. We can’t forget to mention the unique favors, each guest took home a personalized Lego figure, such a fun idea!

If it wasn’t for the gorgeous bride, the florals from this intimate beach wedding might have been the show stopper of the day. With bright blue skies and a few clouds drifting in the background, the floral arch at their beach ceremony framed the happy couple as they said their I Do’s. Bright tropical colors accentuated the arch, Ally’s bouquet and the hand painted wedding cake. Casa Ybel’s patio venue was the perfect location for the intimate wedding reception. It was a stunning sunset on the beach that somehow perfectly matched the couple’s wedding color scheme.
