Gorgeous brides Terani and Melissa’s wedding ceremony took place on the backlawn of Casa Ybel’s property. Views of a serene gulf and quiet notes of a harp serenaded guests as they waited for the two to say their vows. The lush grounds of the resort provided a tropical backdrop for some breathtaking photos while guests enjoyed cocktail hour and dinner on the patio.

Katie and Ryan chose the lush expanse of Casa Ybel’s back lawn for their ceremony, towering palms on each side as they said their I Do’s. There are endless locations on Casa Ybel’s property for flawless wedding photos. Julie and Bert took advantage of quite a few of these spots on their wedding day.
The banyan trees provided a stunning backdrop for portraits and the covered boardwalk over the pond is an ideal spot for first glimpse shots.
A patio reception was the perfect location for dinners as guests were serenaded by Vanderbilt Strings.

Marissa and Timothy’s Sanibel Island beach wedding at Casa Ybel Resort was the idyllic destination event.  Saying their vows on the white sand shore of the Gulf of Mexico and celebrating with music and dancing in Casa Ybel’s ocean view Waterfront Room, the couple and their guests were surrounded by sea shells and starfish and fresh flowers, reminding them all along of the scenic beach locale.

Vintage Seaside Wedding on Sanibel Island { Maggie + Chris } – Casa Ybel Resort

our-wedding-6994Casa Ybel Resort‘s history dates back to the 1880’s.  It’s been a haven for lovers since the founder’s daughter, Georgia, married a guest of the inn.  It’s no surprise that couples from all over the world flock to Sanibel Island to get married on the shores of Casa Ybel Resort and dine in the historic Thistle Lodge, a replica of the Victorian manor built for Georgia and her husband as a wedding gift.

It was the historic feature that made Casa Ybel Resort the perfect fit for Chris and Maggie’s vintage infused beach wedding.  With a distinct 1930’s style, guests enjoyed music played on an old phonograph (an invention of Thomas Edison – one of Casa Ybel’s most famous guests), sat at tables adorned with simple timeless florals and even snapped photos sitting on a 1930’s inspired half moon (designed by the bride’s father).
