Morning weddings are so nice! Not that anyone needs an excuse for a mimosa or bloody mary, but we think they’re more enjoyable when celebrating the union of two great people like Diane and Peter. This fabulous couple (and their fabulous pup) hopped down to Florida from Virginia to get married on the beach at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island. Brunch in the Waterfront Room was stunning with ocean views and gorgeous turquoise details.
Oh, that morning light! If you’ve never taken a morning walk along the ocean, I recommend putting it on your vacation to-do list. Nikki and Ben wanted to share that experience with their guests – the calmly lapping waters, the gentle morning sun and the sense that this day could last forever. After their beach wedding, festivities continued with brunch on Casa Ybel Resort’s Patio where guests sipped mimosas and noshed on eggs benny. When it was all over, Nikki and Ben took an afternoon swim on what would end up being a day that has indeed lasted forever.
Morning beach weddings on Sanibel Island can be so romantic. Getting out on the sand before everyone else and beating the afternoon summer rain showers are just a few reasons brunch weddings are great for Florida summers. There’s also the soft light of the morning sun and the irresistible nature of mimosas and waffles and omelets! We love the nature-inspired decor and the sweet antique furniture that adorn Kristin and Justin’s brunch wedding at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island. And we really love these timeless images from Sanibel Island wedding photographer Trenholm Photo.
Star Wars fans, Ashley & Eric, put a DIY twist on their Sanibel Island destination wedding at Casa Ybel Resort. Soft pinks and aquas juxtaposed with metallic rose and yellow gold kick this brunch wedding up a notch. The Star Wars references are subtle and include a framed Han Solo and Princess Leia print next to rock candy escort cards and handmade Han & Leia cake toppers. For a little throw back fun, Ashley & Eric built their own photo booth and hunted down some Polaroid cameras so guests could leave them photo wishes in their guestbook. Hunter Ryan Photo managed to capture the magic of a morning wedding on Sanibel Island in the photos below.
