I have to say my husband and I were very pleased with everything at the Casa Ybel resort in Sanibel Island. From start to finish Tori and Jessica were amazing! The rest of the staff was out of this world. If there was something that went wrong that day we had absolutely no idea of it. I cant not say enough about the resort and all of their staff and accommodations. The grounds are beautiful along with the rooms. All of are guests want to go back for are anniversary .

Beach weddings aren’t always about sand and shells. Sarah & Jason proved this to be true with their rustic themed destination wedding at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island, FL. They used elements such as burlap and lace, mason jars and twine, even slices of tree stumps to deck out their tented beachfront wedding reception. Dr. Dan Lamey performed a beautiful ceremony and Damian of MVD Films captured it in this wedding video trailer.

Sanibel Island Weddings – Florida Destination Wedding Venue {Ashley + Eric}

Star Wars fans, Ashley & Eric, put a DIY twist on their Sanibel Island destination wedding at Casa Ybel Resort. Soft pinks and aquas juxtaposed with metallic rose and yellow gold kick this brunch wedding up a notch. The Star Wars references are subtle and include a framed Han Solo and Princess Leia print next to rock candy escort cards and handmade Han & Leia cake toppers. For a little throw back fun, Ashley & Eric built their own photo booth and hunted down some Polaroid cameras so guests could leave them photo wishes in their guestbook. Hunter Ryan Photo managed to capture the magic of a morning wedding on Sanibel Island in the photos below.

This wedding at Casa Ybel Resort has become one of my favorites. I absolutely love it when brides hire me for 8+ hours on their wedding day. It really gives me the chance to capture all the details without being rushed, bringing out even more creativity; I get to know the bridesmaids & become friends with them, helping them to be more relaxed in front of my camera; same with the bride & groom…though Susan & Ferdinand nailed it ALL DAY! Also having an INCREDIBLE sunset on the West Coast of Florida in beautiful Sanibel Island, makes it all the better! And some gorgeous bouquets too! And palm trees to hang the wedding dress on…

Susan & Ferdinand, their bridal party as well as 90% of their guests flew out from Germany for this Florida destination wedding. I love how Ferdinand’s cuff links were American flags!

Get ready for some gorgeousness…

For any future bride evaluating venues to get married on Sanibel/Captiva Island, I would recommend to book Casa Ybel immediately. There are so many reasons that I am rating Casa Ybel 5/5: absolutely gorgeous lawn for an outdoor reception, many choices for ceremony location, the food is outstanding, and I cannot say enough great things about Tori, Jessica, and the entire Wedding/Catering team. Tori is the wedding coordinator and is an absolute PRO at what she does. When someone truly cares, it’s apparent in the entire wedding planning process. Being a destination bride, I had no issues at all planning my wedding at Casa Ybel. It was amazing – thank you all for helping to make our wedding PERFECT!
