Casa Ybel is amazing!!! If you are looking for a venue on Sanibel start and end here! Tori and her team are exceptional and take care of every detail you can imagine. The entire staff at Cada Ybel is so friendly and helpful, Jeremy and Woody ran our reception and they were awesome. Everything went off without a hitch! We had a small wedding, 18 guests and they all raved about the location, wedding and food. This is the best wedding food you will ever have! We chose filet mignon and chicken entrees and it was the best filet I have ever had. The view, history of the venue, the team and the list of recommended vendors are all exceptional. I am so thankful we chose to have our wedding at Casa Ybel, it was worth every penny. Thank you again for everything! |

Timothy and Kelly had an intimate Sanibel wedding Ceremony at Casa Ybel resort. This is their second marriage, so they wanted to keep the focus on the two of them and their 5 children and very special guests. By all accounts the wedding was a big hit! We received this awesome message shortly after the wedding:

Intimate Weddings
Timothy and kelly chose to go for a small wedding and Intimate weddings are becoming more and more popular. I think many of our couples are looking to take the stress out of a huge wedding. Intimate weddings are a great way to go for destination Brides. In the right situation, they check all the boxes: small, convenient, intimate and quite importantly, very cost effective:) You will often find that vendors and resorts will have special packaging and pricing for intimate weddings. There is normally a limit to how many people constitute the making of an intimate package. This number varies from vendor to vendor. For us it is twelve people but we are somewhat flexible depending on the day of the wedding. Vendors will also provide packages for intimate weddings. We can offer additional services like video, profesional audio and we also have an officiant on staff! Other vendors/resorts may bundle in things like bouquets or seating or maybe a bottle of champers or two. It’s worth checking.

Rachel and Nicholas exchanged vows in a beautiful beach ceremony at the Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island. Their intimate ceremony included a shell ceremony where their guests had the opportunity to make a personal wish for the couple as they cast their shells into the Gulf of Mexico. After the ceremony the couple went inside the historic Thistle Lodge at Casa Ybel where they enjoyed the culinary delights of the award winning restaurant. The party continued into the evening with dancing and good times. The day was definitely one that their guests will never forget.

Casa Ybel was the perfect venue for our destination wedding on 11/6/15. My husband and I had vacationed here several years ago and as soon as I stepped foot on the property I told him “Someday, this is where I want to get married at”! Casa Ybel and Tori’s team not only met my expectations they exceeded them! With Tori I knew everything was in good hands. She was always quick to reply to any emails or returns phone calls. She helped make sure that every detail was taken care of, especially items I never would have thought about! On our wedding day everything went just as planned. I have heard horror stories about weddings just going horribly wrong, but not mine! I can honestly look back and not think of one detail that went wrong. Everything was exactly how we planned it! We couldn’t have pulled it off without Tori and the awesome staff at Casa Ybel. This bride not only had her perfect wedding…she was stress free as well. We defiantly had the “A” team and I would highly recommend them for your wedding no matter how big or small. You will not be disappointed! |

Perfect Beach Wedding |

I cannot imagine a more perfect place to have a beach wedding and reception! The ceremony was nice but casual and the lawn with tent was a beautiful spot for a reception. Tori, the event manager, is THE BEST. She was so helpful and made everything run completely smooth. The food was amazing and our guests had wonderful time. I wouldn’t have changed a thing! |

| Casa Ybel resort was absolutely perfect in every way!! The staff was well organized, very professional and the grounds were neatly manicured and so perfect for all the photos. We opted for a very small intimate Sunday morning brunch wedding ceremony and reception for approximately 30 people. The catering manager and director of sales were along every step of the way and kept me updated and focused on the planning. We were so pleased with the outcome and that everything went off without a hitch. Thank you again Tori and Jessica and the whole Casa Ybel staff!! Estelle & Greg |

Chris and Dana arrived from New York for their wedding at the Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel. The Saturday afternoon ceremony was on the Lawn behind the Thistle Lodge Restaurant. Actually, I met Chris and Dana and family the evening before the wedding. We gathered at the lighthouse at the east of Sanibel Island for family photos. Dana and her parents along with her sisters and Chris walked along the beach for just under an hour for fun and casual photos. On the wedding day, I met Chris and his grandmother and uncle for a family photo. Then Dana arrived by the Casa Ybel wedding golf cart driven by Tori, the wedding director. Chris was waiting with his back turned so when Dana arrived they would have a first look. And a wonderful first look it was! Oh, their emotions photographed so well! We then took some wedding group photos with family. Patricia Slater was the ceremony official and planner for this Casa Ybel wedding. We actually started precisely on time with Dana’s dad escorting her across the beautiful lawn carrying a floral bouquet designed Floral Artistry of Sanibel.
Wedding Photography
For over twenty years I have photographed weddings at the Casa Ybel Resort. This day was wonderful with the direction of the autumn sun as it fell on the beautiful palms and Poinciana trees. Chris and Dana enjoyed the natural beauty of Sanibel Island. When they are home in New York, they enjoy camping, tennis and hiking. They met while working as chefs at a prominent country club in Troy New York. After the wedding ceremony, another 30 minutes of photos were taken. Chris and Dana then joined their family and friends for a cocktail hour in the Thistle Lodge. Just before dinner, I walked out to the beach again with the bride and groom for sunset photos. When they returned, their delicious dinner was served. The wedding guests were entertained by a three piece Danny Morgan Band that performed wonderfully for dancing and dinner music. The cake was cut and more dancing was enjoyed. While photographing this couple, I sensed their light hearted and joyful personalities, and I believe it shows in their photographs. They were a delight to photograph! Shown here are my favorite images we created at Chris and Dana’s Casa Ybel wedding.
Boho Vintage Beach Wedding – Sanibel Island, Florida { Joy + Ryan }
Joy and Ryan hailed all the way from Chicago to celebrate their marriage on Sanibel Island at Casa Ybel Resort. The over-the-top blooms, burlap runners and a 3 piece jazz band gave this boho vintage beach wedding some serious style. The oh-so-lovely wedding planner, Pamela Hewlett of Pamela Hewlett Events did a magnificent job pulling everything together for a beach wedding that Joy and Ryan’s friends and family will never forget.
