Amazing Experience and Stress Free!

My husband and I got married at Casa Ybel Resort in May 2015. We had a beach ceremony followed by a reception at Thistle Lodge. I can’t say enough great things about the experience. First, both of our work schedules are crazy and we planned the entire event via phone and email. Secondly, Tori was fabulous to work with and she always responded to all of our questions, regardless of how silly they may have been. Thirdly, the entire planning process was stress free since we utilized their package options. All we had to do was make a few choices and we were ready to go! Fourth, I also highly recommend using the vendors on the Casa Ybel preferred vendor list, as I think that really helped make the entire evening go smoothly! The vendors are familiar with the venue and set-up already so there was little need for pre-planning. Although I knew everything would work out fine, they blew me away with how amazing everything looked, how professional the staff was and very helpful. I would highly recommend Casa Ybel for any event, but if you want to have an amazing, stress free destination wedding, call Tori at Casa Ybel and you will not be disappointed! My husband and I will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversary!

Casa Ybel was an amazing venue for our wedding! Tori was SO helpful throughout the entire process and helped make sure everything went smoothly. The beach was beautifully set up for the ceremony and the reception room was absolutely perfect as well! I would recommend Casa Ybel Resort to anyone looking to get married on Sanibel Island!

Casa Ybel Resort is not only a beautiful place to have a wedding, but it is a memorable place to have one. I could not be happier in my decision to book this resort as my wedding venue. It was the perfect place for my fairytale wedding. Not only is it a stunning location, but the staff is kindhearted and professional, the food is superb, the wedding coordinator is sweet and talented, and the list goes on! We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all at Casa Ybel Resort and every single one of the events was storybook perfect.

After taking a month or two off planning my wedding due to a nightmare disaster situation with a sham of a wedding planner in St. Croix USVI, I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Casa Ybel Resort in sunny Sanibel Island. Right from the start of communicating with Jessica Pasek, I knew I was in great hands! Jessica put me in contact with Tori Weatherford, her Wedding Coordinator, and it was so enjoyable & seamless the rest of the process. I had SO much fun collaborating and communicating with Tori — planning a destination wedding can be unnerving and stressful, but working with these two girls and the rest of the staff at Casa Ybel made it so fun, fulfilling and memorable. My Husband (who had never visited the Island or Resort before our Wedding weekend) is a very tough critic and he along with ALL of our guests were raving about the beautiful, warm & sweet staff and venue. Loved every second of it — cannot wait to go back for our anniversaries!

Romantic, Exciting & So Well DONE!!! posted 12/23/2014

First of all, my new daughter-in-law should be a wedding planner because the personal touches, table arrangements, bar choices, wedding colors and EVERYTHING else that makes a wedding special were so well done and perfect that her talents at design made it the most amazing event ever!
Casa Ybel did an terrific job. When the guests arrive and before they go down to the beach there is a really nice outdoor pool bar where our guests gathered. We were blessed with terrific weather and the actual vows were down on the beach with the sun lowering in the sky and the clear water. It couldn’t have been more beautiful. Casa Ybel put up an arch on the beach for the bride and groom to stand in front of and there were chairs for the wedding guests. There was also electrical cords running to an area where someone was playing wedding music and that was a nice touch. It was beautiful to watch the groom and groomsmen and the bride and bridesmaids come come down the wood walkway and then onto the beach. It was a nice transition and impressive. Actually it was really memorable.
The reception couldn’t have been more organized. As the guests came up from the beach there was beautiful grassy area outside of the tent where Casa Ybel had set up a bar and tables with hors d’oeuvres. There was a memorial table with pictures of family members who had passed on but that we wish had been in attendance (super cool sentiment), an area to sign a guest book, a board with the seating charts and everyone really enjoyed the little meet and greet on the grassy area while pictures were taken of the Bride and Groom and family members.
The Tent that Casa Ybel put up was FABULOUS! there were white lights strung from the top that I was afraid weren’t going to be enough to see by during dinner and dancing but it was exactly right and SOOOOO romantic. The tables were set up on perfectly manicured grass in a really nice seating arrangement. The table arrangements are provided for by the bridel party and again, I must say, the tables were glorious with runners, soft candles, beautiful dried hydrangea flower arrangements, place cards and teal napkins. Just too beautiful to describe. There was a wooden dance floor right in the middle of the tent and in front of the wedding party table and the bride and groom did a great job with live music for the first half of the wedding and then a DJ for the second half. The food was really great and Thisle Lodge did a great job of moving everyone through the buffet line smoothly. The roast beef was just great…everything was. We had PLENTY of privacy and danced the night away. I can’t say enough about the event. One thing I will say is that I think the more organized the bride and groom are and the more involved in planning for music, table pieces, bar choices and all the smalll details, the better…. if those things are thought out and provided for – you don’t have to worry for one second that Thisle Lodge and Casa Ybel will hold up their end. They do a spectacular job and will help you put on a wedding that will be a memory that you will want to luxuriate in forever.

I could not have been happier with my choice of Casa Ybel for my destination wedding last week. Throughout the process, the staff of Casa Ybel has been tremendous. From the inception, Jessica and Tori worked with me and quickly responded to all of my email communications. They were so easy to work with and so experienced. They guided me through my panic of being unable to find a florist, musician, hair stylist and photographer in a short period of time and had great suggestions to accomodate my love of details.

If you are lucky enough to have Jeremy to assist on your wedding day–you are in good hands.

My wedding party and family are still raving about the food and accommodations.

Amy was spectacular in helping with last minute room accommodations and even helping me preserve my bouquet as I left the resort. The staff was on top of it all–with a smile.

Chris kept up with our colorful friends at Coconuts prior to the wedding-and his service was exceptional!

I do not have one complaint…it was everything that I had hoped for..and more.

I planned my wedding in five months and chose Casa Ybel. Other than my husband, it was the best decision I ever made. I was uncertain of how to proceed with the planning, as I am from New York, but Tori Weatherford handled all of my inquiries – anytime-day or night. I realized that the florists, musicians and photographers book up years in advance of a wedding, but Tori guided me every step of the way -even to a dentist when my tooth chipped as I came off the plane the day before my wedding. My wedding was last weekend and it truly was everything that I ever wanted and more. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Tori was on site and it ran so smoothly. I literally shipped boxes from NY and on the day of the wedding–I quickly gave Tori and Jeremy my ideas to execute my vision and without hesitation, they took control and got it done—exactly as I envisioned. Our wedding party spent the weekend at Casa Ybel and Coconuts Tiki Bar. Chris the bartender was awesome! It was such a memorable weekend thanks to Tori and staff at Casa Ybel and Coconuts. Thank you. If I could, I would give Casa Ybel and it’s staff a 10! Tori and her staff were absolutely wonderful. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was perfect, and everyone was friendly and exceptionally professional. On a special note, we had a difficult guest–who had not returned his RSVP–and the staff bent over backwards to meet his desires. If I had another daughter, her wedding would definitely be at Casa Ybel. I cannot recommend Casa Ybel highly enough. These guys were perfect in every way. You will definitely be pleased with every aspect of their facilities and service!
